Tips to Beat SEO Spam

Search engine spam is a method that is used to manipulate the web page to get an artificial boost regarding search engine rankings. It is replicating the same message so that viewers are forced to see them. There are certain guidelines provided by major search engines as to what a webmaster should keep in mind while designing the web page. Spam is generally the technique used by the site owners to deceive the search engine spiders.

Be acquainted with the most common types of spam:

Doorway pages:

Doorway pages, also known as portal pages, gateway pages, entry page etc. are generally pages that can be easily identified. Their main purpose is to drive traffic to a site. They are like full screen banners which the viewers are forced to see. They reduce the quality of the search engine result and are irritating to their users.

Mirror sites:

Mirror sites are the replication of another internet site that uses different keywords. They are used to provide the same information or preserve historic content and allow faster downloads. Search engines tend to avoid duplicate content in their result pages because this increases the number of listings and lessen the worth of a result page.

Hidden text:

Hidden text also known as search spam, are generally readable to search engine spiders but they are invisible to visitors. It is just like dropping a letter written in white in a white background. It is invisible to human eye but easily identifiable by spiders. Hidden text is a variation of the keyword that are attractive to spiders but not to human beings.

Search engines scan the pages for unique materials. If the header of the page is not relevant to the body of the page then it would be difficult to get a good ranking. Search engines detect a page when multiple keywords are placed on a page. They are just used to confuse the spam filters. Research shows unwanted e-mail accounts nearly half of the messages received.

What can you do to prevent unwanted messages from coming to your address?

• Avoid having your e-mail address on the net. You can use form emails to hide your address or programs to encode your email.

• Install a spam blocking software. They are programs that will help you to block certain unwanted mails which you have to set up manually.

• A multiple e-mail address approach can be used to avoid spam. It is just like keeping your personal e-mail id and your business id separate.

• Avoid attachment from unknown people. Spam generally has attachments that may contain viruses. Personal e-mail id is more open for spammers and so you should not open attachments from unknown persons. Look for services that can filter the mails coming in your account.

• Use e-mail services that have bulk mailer baskets so that you can pile the unwanted mails there.

How SEO Companies Create Gateway Pages

If you are thinking of hiring a professional SEO expert or a search engine positioning company one thing you might want to ask them is whether or not they are intending to create doorway pages, also known as gateway pages to optimize your site. This is a common tact of many SEO companies that is used to propel websites to the top of the search engine pages quickly but it is not necessarily a technique that is embraced or condoned by the search engines themselves. This works as long as a search engine like Google does not catch you and penalize you for spamming.

Still creating these gateway or doorway pages is the main service that search engine optimization experts actually enhance a site. What are they exactly? They are pages that these search engine-positioning companies create independent of your site that are stuffed with keywords and then submitted to the search engines. Of course these pages also have a link to your site.

Creating all of these pages is easier for these SEO companies then you think. Many of them use automated software like WebPosition Gold (WPG) to generate pages that will rank high for a search engine. Using a program like this an SEO company can create different doorway pages that are tailored to attract the different

These positioning companies will even go to the trouble to create different gateway pages for each search engine, using the WPG Page Critic function. This tool tells Webmasters what keyword density each engine supposedly wants to see (based on past results), and how many times you should put particular keyword phrases into the text and meta tags of the gateway pages. Rather than spend thousands on a professional you can get a copy of this program or one like it for under $200 (and even less if you look for similar products on Clickbank.)

Tips On Making Seo Blog Content Look Good

It is highly recommended that you SEO your blog content. It is not recommended however that you make your blog sound stiff and technical for the sake of attracting search engines. When it comes to actually incorporating your keywords into your blog copy keep in mind that the best blogs are the ones that sound casual. Nobody wants to read a robotic repetitive piece of copy.

One key to keeping your blog looking neat and readable is to keep the content less than 300 words. 250 words per blog is idea. Keeping them looking reasonably uniform and the same length is also more visually eye catching and more likely to keep curious eyeballs on your page and not someone else’s.

Another thing you need to note is the way the headline of your blog article looks. Shorter is almost always better. Long search engine optimized blog titles don’t work if they are cut off at the end. Make sure that any blog headlines that you have are.

You should also make sure that your blog headlines are not too commercial or corny sounding. For instance a blog title such as “Make thousands a day using SEO!” is not going to work as well as a subtler phrase such as “How SEO Let Me Quit My Day Job.” Corny headlines look like spam to a lot of people when they get them on their RSS feeds so their eyes simply glaze over when they see something like “Hoodia Miracle Weight Loss Drug!” or “Grow Bigger Breasts in Three Days.”

Unless the acronym is very well known you are also supposed to stay away from using them as headlines in your blog. However this is not advised if your SEO title is too long as in “Valuable tips for Utilizing Search Engine Tips for Blogs.” It is much better to keep the language very simple as in “Top SEO Tips!”

Difference Between Search Engines and Directories

One thing that is so basic that it often still needs to clarified is the concept that a search engine and a search directory (article directory) are not the same thing. The traditional search engines add Web site pages to their databases automatically and then rank them in popularity in their search engine rankings based on user submissions. However, these search engines also periodically send their automatic robots or "spiders" out to "crawl" for new and updated information on websites that can also be indexed and added to the search engine rankings. Complex algorithms (that are comparable to the mysterious complex FICO Scores that are used to calculate your credit rating) calculate your web page’s popularity on a number of different factor. The most famous example of a pure search engine like this is Google

Directories also qualify as a search site but they are not the same as a search engine. To get listed on a directory, you must actually submit your front page URL on the directory's submission form. Also instead of being evaluated by an algorithm, these pages are directly assessed by a human being. This means that your site is ranked according to the information that you submitted on your application. This is very different from a typical search engine that assesses your web ranking according to what is actually on the home page of your web site. The Open Directory, Yahoo and LookSmart are the main Internet directories that are managed in this way.

To make things even more difficult the search sites and the search engines work in cahoots together to boost each other’s rankings. Almost all of the major search engines also work in tandem with a directory which is why, for instance, a listing in DMOZ almost automatically guarantees you a place on Google.

High Cost Of Organic SEO

A discussion of the going high prices of having your site subjected to “organic SEO’ and whether or not it is just as well for you to search engine optimize your site yourself.

If you have been surfing around on the Internet looking for information on SEO you have probably noticed that professional SEO experts have gone wild trying to push something called Organic Search Engine Optimization on you. These companies usually offer an all in one umbrella service to optimize your site including design, content and keyword searches. These companies, that are found on Jeeves, Google and Yahoo promise that their services can help you be found organically by people looking for your site in the search engines.

This is not really that impressive as an organic search engine result can be simply defined as a listing in a search engine that you did not have to pay for. This was the original purpose of SEO in the first place. However nowadays almost all of the search engines offer businesses the option of paying to get an ad listed whether it be through a direct purchase or through a program like Google Adwords.

Is this money well spent? First of all some studies have shown that only about thirty percent of people will click on those paid search engine listing simply because they are seen as less credible then the ones that rose naturally to the top in the search engines. Although this makes a case for spending money on organic SEO you may also be shocked to learn that the cost of applying SEO to even the smallest of websites is usually about $10,000. What is incredible about this price is that you can usually do what they are going to for your site yourself – especially if you are in the first stages of designing your site. They will simply look up keywords, apply them to metatags and your content as well as make sure that your website is more functional. Perhaps the best situation in which to spend this type of money on SEO would actually be in the beginning stages of your web design so that you can avoid costly SEO overhauls of your site in the future.

Don’t Be Sent To The Google Sandbox

A definition and description of the Google Sandbox and a discussion of the search engine optimization techniques that can lead your site to be sent there.

The Google Sandbox is a kind of virtual holding cell where websites that don’t quite make the grade or that are suspected of spamming are put into a kind of purgatory. As you may or may not know, the Google spiders make two trips to your index before they index it. The first trip by a spider indexes your strengths and weaknesses and if there is a lot of weaknesses then it could take the search engine months to analyze your site. If the site seems like it spamming somehow or inethical it may not be indexed at all.

Basically when the Google Spiders index your site they also take note of how you may be trying to manipulate the search engine rankings. Two things that could definitely get you into trouble are over optimizing the web site with keywords and building too many low quality links too fast.

You should be extra careful about this if your website is new. Over optimizing is what a lot of copycat sites do to beat out the competition and the search engine spiders may note this. If you have a new site with way too many links it is automatic evidence of link farming to the Google search engines who will then penalize you for it – i.e. send your site to the Google sandbox.

There are certain industries that are more suspect than others and that Google may have less patience with when it comes to link farming and keyword stuffing. This includes the porn, pharmaceutical, Internet, work at home business, psychic and yes, even the SEO industry. In fact if you are selling business to business products or ebooks about how to make more money using SEO then you might be a number one candidate to be sent to the Google sandbox as you are displaying obvious knowledge of “cheating the search engines” type techniques in your web content.

Business Competency vs SEO

A discussion about business competency and how offering a good product or service at a reasonable price can be much more effective than employing SEO strategies.

There are many people out there who think that the integrity of the Internet and its content is being corrupted by search engine optimization techniques and they may well be right. The result of SEO practices has been misleading redirects, incomprehensible writing and the ruin of online entity that had the potential to become the next big Alexandrian library.

This is why many web site and search engine experts are advocating the use of competency as good SEO. People are simply sick of being manipulated by clever SEO individuals who use misleading keywords and other devices to lead them to a website that is trying to sell them something that ninety percent of the time they don’t even want. The polarity this of course is a website that is competent. This would be a website that takes the time and trouble to provide a great product or service at an affordable price. The theory here is that nice guys don’t have to always finish last and that it is possible to get all of the business that you need simply by typing in honest keywords that reflect what it is you really do.

SEO is all about the manipulation of a search engine and if you are offering a service or product in the first place clients will come to you. You simply won’t have to spend a lot of money building lists or applying professional SEO strategies trying to convince them to visit you.

The idea that customers respond the most to excellence is not a theory that should be shrugged off so easily by fans of practicing SEO. In fact, so many members of the public are becoming aware of SEO techniques that they may even see the application of them as an indication that the site is selling something of a lower quality.

Things to Find Out When Shopping for a SEO Specialist

When shopping for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company or the specialist you need to be aware of certain things. If someone offers you quick results, they can be by pulling his leg. If you are not listed on the search engines for the average duration of the index will take approximately 4 weeks. Someone offering bids in less than coning is you. Web sites that have already signed up and are only being updated will be faster results.

A guarantee is not always reinsurance. Just because a site shows that they can help you in the stain 1 does not mean that they can deliver. Or, they can you listed under an obscure keyword or phrase. More legitimate SEO's will tell you no one can guarantee first place on all keywords and phrases. Search engine optimization is not an exact science. Trail and error consistent with the emphasis will help bring your site closer to your goal.

Most Seo Expert should give you some information on your site, which is currently being held. You links, keywords, where you rank on the major search engines, and so on. Or, do one yourself. My article "Google's Helping hand" show you free tools that can help you assess your position on search engines. Do not go into any SEO work blindly. Knowing where you are before and after.

Price is never a good idea of how a service is. More is not always better. Shop try to get the most for your money, but be realistic. If this seems too good to be true, then it may just be. Be prepared to shell some species. SEO is not cheap. You may want to consider SEO as advertising. It should be a candidate, however, that your advertising efforts.

Ask questions! Do not be afraid to ask what would be done to increase your rank. Most SEO's not a problem, tell you what they will do. They may not want to reveal their entire SEO process. But they will give you an idea of what they will do. Talk to more than one company SEO. Compare what everyone has to say. Doing research on your own. Find out if these companies were reported to the Better Business Bureau. If a company or a person has had articles or written comments on them. Ask around. Try to get an idea of the company or persons credibility.

A few additional things to keep in mind are:
Seo Services is the principal activity or it is a sideline to other businesses. SEO is a full-time job. In particular, stay abreast of constant change. Do they have a specialist? Have they outsource? How do they really know? What are the views on the link farms and doorway pages? Will they do something for you the link and flow? Even if search engines frown on the practice. Can they can explain clearly how their action plan? Seek it to take small steps with you? Or, are they trying to sell you the biggest package SEO possible?

The New SEO Rules For 2009

The world of search is under heavy transformation and 2009 will positively be bringing new surprises, features and new search tools. What appears is the fact that search engines such as Google, are going to increasingly value your choices and clicks as a reference value to serve relevant results for your queries.

SEO gurus made some predictions about the changes they expect from Google in 2009.

Content will still be the king. Always provide fresh and unique contents. Meta tags and targeted keywords are not that important anymore. A well-searched keyword is the one that matters. Relevance of the content is the main factor for Google to value your post. Serving the needs of your readers should always be the number one thing in your mind. It is the relevance and quality of the content associated with the searching habits of the reader that Google would be looking for. Incoming back links with high values will still help.

Content will still be the predominant factor for the worthiness of a site, but that the other media like video and pod cast will become more important as Google sees how searchers request for it. Along with text, video is already making way with universal search results. Therefore, now is the opportunity to optimize rich media contents for fast results. Videos placed in You Tube ranked within days in Google. Google is now giving more importance to videos and that it is getting better at Flash. Moving pictures are the most powerful tool for quickly communicating a sophisticated array of ideas and emotions. Therefore, video optimization will be a big push in 2009.

Due to world financial crisis, many companies are forced to decrease the expenses on advertising and on SEO.

The new rules for 2009-

Unique content will rule definitely
Web 2.0 is not a trend anymore since almost all new sites support web 2.0 paradigm.
Blogging and microblogging will get more attention
Video and conversational social marketing i.e., forums and social communities will be among the most effective ways to keep your content visible inside major search engine result pages. Therefore, if you want to create a niche among your competitors, your presence must be solid and well spread across diverse media outlets.

Marketing tactics/techniques to adopt in 2009

Identify your most valuable customers and determine what attracts them. Once you begin to focus more effort on quality visitors, you will discover that certain keywords and key phrases drive high conversions/visits. Increase your bids for those keywords and optimize your ad copy and landing pages to generate even more conversions. Be sure to look at all the terms people enter into the search box. Search engines will provide the searchers a new set of results based on his history of searching and browsing habits. Google will look into IP Address, use geo-targeting and remember which websites one frequently visits.

Your web analytics tool can easily identify your top five visiting countries, visiting states, visiting cities and so on. By knowing where most of your visits are coming from, you can optimize your campaigns to those territories.

A simple change/update of the listing's description can improve the CTR phenomenally.

The challenge is not to pay so much attention to ranking, rather pay attention to traffic, conversions and keep building good content.

Avoid the Wild SEO Scam

A lot of us are looking for a quick solution to our search engine optimization (SEO) problems. We always want the "magic bullet" formula that will give us instant success, and shoot our page rankings on the search engines into the infamous top 10. However, it is quite easy to be lured into a false sense of security and hopefulness when we read a great sales pitch for a SEO ebook. One ebook that really caught my eye recently is called Wild SEO, and I'm going to tell you how to avoid what I like to call the Wild SEO scam.

My friend recently let me read his copy of this ebook after he made the purchase. To make a long story short, I was quite disappointed with the information provided. There were no "insider secrets" as promised on the sales page, and I definitely didn't find anything that would allow me to "force Google and Yahoo to spit out cash like a broken ATM machine". I read the sales page before I read the book and I was really hyped up about how promising this stuff sounded. And I have to admit, those screenshots of insane Clickbank earnings always light my fire. But you have to remember that these can be easily faked. I'm not saying that the authors faked these earnings shots, but it's just something you always have to be aware of when you're buying a product similar to this one. I can't say that I was completely disappointed with book.

The one saving grace is that it does provide some useful information for an absolute beginner. Unfortunately, I'm not a beginner so there was nothing profound that would really allow me to take my SEO knowledge to the next level. To go along with that, I would only recommend this book to someone who has absolutely no knowledge of SEO techniques. But remember, you can find a lot of good, free SEO information online just by searching for it on Google. One thing I did learn from this product before I even read it is how to write good ad copy. The sales page is excellent and interesting at the same time. If you're looking for an example of good ad copy to help sell a product, this is definitely it! But seriously, if you've got a little extra cash (49.99) to throw around and you just want to learn some basic SEO strategies, then you might as well get this book.

Otherwise, just look for free information on the web. As a recap, this book is for total novices who want a basic understanding of SEO principles...but it won't take you to the top with "revolutionary" or "secret" strategies for search engine optimization. I guess referring to the subject of this article as the Wild SEO scam was a bit harsh, but you should always take some time to investigate a product before you buy. A great place to look for unbiased information about a product is in forums. Usually, the people there have no reason to mislead you with a sales pitch because a lot of forums don't allow affiliate links. Anyway, I hope this Wild SEO review helped a little bit with your decision, and good luck with your future internet business goals.

Church Marketing Through On-Page Optimization

Are the pages of your website optimized for the search engines? On-page optimization is the essence of search engine optimization and the key to targeting the keywords that can make your website a success.

What is On-Page Optimization?
On-page optimization refers to all the optimization done on the actual pages of your website. This includes both visible elements, like optimizing text, and behind-the-scenes work, like optimizing META tags. Search Engine Optimization has essentially three main parts, keyword research, on-page optimization, and track/reporting. (You could also technically include link building). These elements of SEO could also be described as research, implementation, and tracking the results. On-page optimization is the implementation stage of search engine optimization. With on-page optimization, you target specific keywords and help the search engines to rank you well for these keywords. (If you're not sure what keywords to target, read our article on Keyword Research).

On-page optimization can be one of the cheapest and more rewarding forms of church marketing you can do.

On-Page Optimization Elements:
The optimization of a web page involves several different elements of the page. Below I'll go through these elements and discuss a little about them:

Title Tag: This is one of the most important elements in on-page optimization. The Title tag is an element found in the head of the page. Look for the title and /title tags. What comes between these tags is the Title tag. The Title tag is visible to visitors, but not in the body of the page, rather it is displayed in the top bar of the web browser. The Title tag should be a short description of the page and should contain the keywords you want to target for that page.

Description META Tag: The description tag is not as heavily weighted as the Title tag, but it should still be optimized. It is located in the head of the page, usually just below the title tag. The coding for the description tag is meta name="description" content="". The text used between the quotes after content= is the description META tag. The description tag is not seen on the web page, but some search engines do use the description tag in the search listings. The description tag can be longer than the title tag, but should still be relatively short and should contain each of the keywords you are targeting.

Keyword META Tag: The keyword tag is honestly all but ignored by the search engines at this point, but it should still be optimized. Every little bit helps. It is located in the header of the page, usually just below the title tag. The coding for the description tag is meta name=" keywords" content="". The text used between the quotes after content= is the keyword META tag. The keyword tag is not seen on the web page or anywhere else. Keyword should be separated by a comma and a space, and keywords should not be repeated (i.e. "church, Lutheran church, youth group"). Notice that "church" and "Lutheran church" are considered two different keywords even though they both contain the word "church".

File Name: It's never too early to start thinking about SEO. When you are creating the page, consider your keywords when you name the page file (if you have that option). Instead of using a file name like "directions.html", use a file name like "directions-to-Atlanta-church.html". If you use more than one word in the file name, it is best to separate the words by hyphens as search engines see hyphens as word breaks.

Alt Tags: Alt tags are attributes that can be added to images. Search engines can't read pictures, but they do read alt tags. So, alt tags allow you to get some SEO value from those pictures on your site. Generally, the alt tag should describe the picture, but you can usually do that in a way that includes a keyword or two. You can add an alt tag to an images by adding alt="" in the img tag. If you are using a web builder, their may be an alt option or possibly a description or title option. Alt tags are viewable by visitors. If someone mouse over a picture, a text box will show the alt tag.

On-Page Links: Incoming links are great for helping websites in the search engines, but your internal linking structure (the way each page in your website links to other pages in the site) can help as well (though not as much). Use keywords in the link text. So, instead of "Homepage" use "Grace Baptist Church Homepage" or if you want it shorter, just "Church Home". In addition to using keywords in the link text, you can also add title attributes. Title attributes are to links what alt tags are to pictures. Just add title="" in the a tag. Like the alt tag, title attributes are visible to visitors if they mouse over the link.

Tip: If you have graphical link, you can use both an alt and a title tag.

Text: Using keywords in the text on your page is probably the most important element of on-page optimization, though the Title tag is nearly as important. Search engines read the text on a page to determine what the page is about. The key is what's called keyword density, how many times a word or phrase is used on a page compared to how much text there is. The more times a word or phrase is used, the more important that word or phrase is (except for words like "and" and "the"). The trick with optimizing text is getting the right balance. You want to use keywords multiple times on a page, but not over-do it. It's difficult to say how many times you should use your keywords, as it will depend on how much text you have on your page, but I'd suggest using the keywords at least three times.

H tags: H tags are used for paragraph headings and titles. There are 6 H tags, H1 through H6 (creative huh?). In HTML these tags include several characteristics, including size, weight (boldness), and a line break. An H1 tag will be very large and bold, while an H6 tag is small. Because these tags are used for headings and titles, the search engines place extra weight on words used in H tags. The weight they give also depends on which H tag is used. H1 is given more weight than H3 and H3 more weight than H4. Be sure to use your keywords in H tags. If you do not like the appearance of the text when it's placed in an H tag, then you can use CSS or HTML to change the font attributes, though there is some debate as to whether that effects the amount of weight the search engines give the H tag.

Baby Steps
Optimization is a comprised of several small elements that work together to get the result of higher rankings for targeted keywords. Each element adds to the affect. You may find, however, that you cannot or do not want to optimize every element of your page. That can affect the results, but just because you can't do everything, doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything. Every element you optimize is another step towards that #1 ranking.

Make It Natural:
One of the most difficult aspects of on-page optimization is balancing the optimization and the experience of the visitors. You should always design for your visitors. The search engines should always be second. After all, does it matter if you get thousands of visitors if they all leave after 3 seconds because they can't stand being on your site. So, it's a balance. Choose keywords wisely so they naturally fit into the topic of the page and then work them into the text in way that is natural to the visitor.

Don't Leave Your Net in the Boat!
Whether you do it yourself or hire an expert SEO, Optimize Your Website; not just your homepage, all your web pages. Each page is like a fishing net. Not optimizing a page is like leaving that net in your boat instead of using it to catch fish (or visitors). This is something to consider even before you create your website when you are choosing your web host. Many hosts include web builders that either make it very difficult to fully optimize a website or completely impossible. Make sure you choose a web host that allows you to fully optimize your website and then make sure you take the time to optimize. It will be well worth it.

Google and Mozilla's Partnership

For many years, Google and Mozilla have had a good relationship that has been beneficial to both parties. Google has actively promoted the Mozilla FireFox browser and in exchange, Google has been the default search engine for FireFox. With over 20% of the market share, FireFox is the second most popular browser available and has Millions of users in the UK alone. Understandably, being the default search engine for FireFox is a coveted position. In fact, almost 90% of Mozilla's revenue comes from this partnership with Google.

Last year, Google launched its own browser, Chrome, and this has changed things considerably. Whilst the introduction of Chrome does not necessarily signify the end of the Google / Mozilla relationship, it is a distinct possibility. Mozilla chair, Mitchell Baker has announced that the introduction of Chrome is causing them to rethink their reliance on Google. There is no doubt that there will be many companies eager to fill Google's position, some of who will be willing to pay over the odds for the privilege.

The current contract between Google and Mozilla will not expire until 2011, and a lot can happen in that time. In fact, 2009 is set to be a big year for browsers. So far, we have seen the launch of Chrome after being removed from beta as well as an antitrust lawsuit brought against Microsoft for its exclusive inclusion of Internet Explorer With windows. It is quite possible that the Market share of the major browsers will change a lot in 2009, making the situation in 2011 very difficult to predict.

Website Optimizer is a tool that can help you improve the effectiveness of your website or web pages. By allowing you to Split Test different versions of your website content, you can determine what content best attracts users to lead them to convert on your site.

First you need to increase your Traffic, then you need to split test to increase your conversion rate.

Again you will need to get your website designer to insert a code into your web pages in order to get website optimizer to work. The key to all successful marketing and online marketing is testing and measuring. It is essential to get the most from your marketing campaigns, and without the numbers how are you going to know what's working and what's not.

3 SEO Don't(s)

With SEO being a buzz word of the times every body wants their website to be search engine friendly and up there in the first page rankings, but there are some errors which people are regularly making when trying to optimize their sites that are preventing them from getting the first page listings that they are striving for. The following is a list of 3 SEO don't(s) when optimizing your website.

Don't use the same page title on every page on your website. By using your different keywords in the page titles of the different pages on your site and making those pages more specific to those keywords you increase your chances of being listed on the search engines for more than one set of keywords.

Don't forget to use your keywords within the content of the pages on your website. Be sure to use your keywords in the body text on your page but do not over use them by just sticking them in here, there and everywhere! Also, make sure that your keywords are in the ALT tags of any images that are on the page. This is another place where keywords can be used but again, be careful of the overuse of a keyword - you do not want to risk being penalised by the search engines.

Don't make the content of your site just for the search engines. Actual human beings will be reading your pages and are ultimately who your website is for so make sure that your content is relevant, interesting and informative and include your keywords where you can but make sure they fit effortlessly into the flow of your wording.

Website Vs Single Web Page

Nobody knows the exact intricacies of how Google works and it is changing all the time, so should you start optimizing your website or should you optimize individual web pages?

Your Website = Your Main Website URL

Single Web Page = Your Main Website URL/specific web page

In theory, your main website URL will be viewed by Google as being more powerful than your individual pages simply because your main URL usually has more inbound links than individual pages. However, you can't optimize your main website effectively if you are targeting too many keywords, so the thing to do is optimize single web pages for different keywords.

Example: Your Hotel in Washington website would have separate web pages all optimized for different keywords:

www.yourwebsite .com - would be optimized for your main keywords:

Hotels in Washington, etc

Your Main Website URL/accommodation-in-Washington - would be optimized for the keywords:

Accommodation in Washington, etc

Your main Website URL/places-to-stay-in-Washington - would be optimized for the keywords:

Places to Stay in Washington, etc

These additional Keyword Specific web pages could be hidden from your main menu on your website. The only purpose of these extra pages is to attract visitors using your highly specific keywords. If you tried optimizing your main URL for all those keywords it may take you a long time to get your site on the 1st Page of Google, but by spreading the keyword load across all of your pages it makes it much clearer and easier for Google to understand what you are trying to achieve.

Get High Page Rank

Achieve Good Page Rank by Purchasing High PR Text Links

Getting PR2 or high PR website links to your site is the fastest and easier way to get extremely increasing web site traffic to your site and to top the search engines. It is said that a one-way high Page rank link will grant your web site a Page rank of minimum two points below that of the linking website. It means that a link from a PR10 site could help you to gain PR8 for your web site. Why is it Important to Buy High Page Rank Text Links? (Aka PR)

It is almost impossible to get a link from an extremely traffic web site, if your site cannot compete with the site you wish to exchange links with. Google considers a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."

Receiving a link from an "'important" web site would help to boost your web page popularity, in resulting higher Search Engine Ranking. As an added bonus you would also receive hundreds of visitors from such a link.

Such links are available for sale, they are not cheap, but some savvy SEO's are weaving "Pay for PR Links" into their overall strategy.
How much should be the term of Buying High PR Text Links?

Buying high PR links should be done for about 6 months. Because of the nice PR boost your web site will get from such a link, you will find that it will be much easier for you to find other high quality (and high PR) reciprocal link partners at no cost to you. After getting these high quality links you can move away from the pay-for-page rank links, without losing your PR.

Page Rank Levels

PR5 - You should be able to reach this level on your own.

PR6 - Good, it takes hard work to reach this PR level.

PR7 - Very good, but Hard to reach. Worth buying these links.

PR8 - Very hard and long process to get to this level.

PR9 - Nearly impossible. It worth a lot of money. Not found very often.

PR10 - Google.com and a couple of other sites only get this high Page rank.

If you are looking to buy some high PR links, then the links from Unique Sites which offer more variety and which can get the attraction of the media.

How to Get Better Rankings For Your Website

You have had your webstore online for the last two years and while you are making some money from word-of-mouth because your product is a good one, your website simply isn't getting the traffic that many other websites in the same sector are getting and this is because you currently rank nowhere in the organic results of the major search engines. What are some techniques that you can put forth to change this and make your website into a traffic machine? The answer is very simple and that is link building, but what kind of link building is the best type for you to use for your website?

One of the most simple methods that you could use for link building is directory submissions. There are tens of thousands of free online directories out there that are starving for you to put your link on their website about the and all you have to do to find them is to type in "free directory lists" in any of the major search engines and you will get many different lists and many thousands of free directories that you can submit to. Now I may take a little bit of work but in the long run it is a very good investment that is cost free.

Another good method to get your site ranked higher is using the many specialized social bookmarking sites, but there is one thing that you need to look out for to determine if a social site is worth it for you to submit to or not and that is whether it has a no follow through or follow through. A site that is no follow through means that it will not allow your link to be counted with the search engines and follow-through means that it will be counted. Make sure that you build up quite a big list of 2.0 sites that are follow-through.

Finally, don't pay attention to how high the page rank of the site is because page rank itself has very little value as to how high a site will be ranked. If you don't believe me then check the top 10 rankings of some of the most competitive keywords and you will see many high page rank sites that are not even ranked in the top 100.
